Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Pediatric to Young Adult (New York City, NY)

Job Description

Our well-established practice in the West Village is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position offers the opportunity to work with pediatric clients through young adults across all areas of speech and language. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State SLP license
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (typically required)
• Professional liability insurance
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, organization, attention to detail, and compassion

Preferred Qualifications

• NYS SLP Bilingual extension/license (a plus)
• PROMPT training (a plus)
• Training in online Auditory Processing programs (a plus)

Clinical Responsibilities

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide assessment and treatment services tailored to the individual needs of each client.

Assessment and Treatment Areas

• Oral motor and articulation assessment (PROMPT trained a plus)
• Receptive and expressive language skills
• Auditory processing skills (including online auditory processing programs)
• Pragmatic (social) language
• Stuttering and fluency
• Pre-academic skills
• Development of client-centered goals

Accountability and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with NYS licensure and ASHA standards
• Create individualized treatment plans based on client needs and capacity
• Collaborate with families and other professionals
• Maintain thorough documentation, including evaluations and progress notes
• Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner (e.g., attendance documentation)
